Super Bowl Foods 🏈


This weekend is the moment all of us sports fans have been waiting for; the Super Bowl.


I personally love this time of the year since i'm a super competitive person and since the snacks during that sunday are epic.

which is why today, i'm sharing the most delicious foods for you while binge-watching the big game; all made in crock-pots!

you'll be enjoying BBQ chicken wings, sloppy joe burgers. You'll please all!


for the chicken wings:

ingredients:

- 1/4 cup dijon mustard

- 1/4 cup honey

- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

- 1 tbsp cider vinegar

- 1 tbsp chili seasoning

- a pinch of cayenne pepper

- 12 chicken wings, skin removed

- 2 tbsp olive oil

- salt & pepper

instructions:

- In the crockpot, mix together the mustard, honey, worcestershire sauce. vinegar, chili seasoning and cayenne pepper. set aside.

- In a big saucepan, at medium-high heat, brown half the chicken wings at a time in the oil. season. Then place in the crockpot and incorporate wll with the mustard mix.

- cover and cook at low temperature for 3 hours. you can serve them right now or you can keep on warm up to 2 hours, but the meat will become very very tender and will detach itself easily to the bone.

for the sloppy joe burgers

ingredients:

pork:

- 1 tbsp brown sugar

- 1 tsp salt

- 1 tbsp chili seasoning

- 1 tsp ground pepper

- 1/2 tsp onion powder

- 1/2 tsp garlic powder

- 3 1/2 lb deboned pork shoulder without the squeak, cut in 4 to 6 pieces

- 1 cup water

BBQ sauce:


- 1 tbsp chili seasoning

- 1 tsp onion powder

- 2 tbsp butter

- 1/2 cup ketchup

- 1/2 cup cider vinegar

- 1/2 cup apricot jam

- 1/4 cup yellow mustard

- 1 tbsp Worcesterchire sauce

- 1 tbsp molasses

- salt & pepper

instructions:

for the pork:

- In the crockpot, mix the brown sugar, salt and spices. Add in the meat pieces and make sure to incorporate everything together. add the water in the bottom of the crockpot.

- cover and cook at Low for 8 hours.

- remove the meat from teh crockpot. get rid of the excess water. shred the meat with the help of a fork. season. transfer directly to the crockpot.

for the BBQ sauce:

- In a small saucepan, mix in tehe spices in the butter for 1 minute. Add the rest of ingredients. Boil and continue simmering 10-15 minutes or until the sauce has a syrup-like texture. season with salt and pepper.

- Add the sauce to the pork and mix well.

- serve with hamburger buns and cabbage salad.
